UHMWPE Version

Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a polymer material renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and outstanding ballistic protection. Compared with traditional aramid fibers, UHMWPE has a much lower density--about 1/8 that of steel--while still delivering excellent bullet resistance and impact absorption. This allows helmets to achieve the same protection level (e.g., NIJ IIIA) at a significantly reduced weight.
